The Statistical Office in Łódź provides you with the "Report on the socio-economic situation of Łódzkie Voivodship 2020." This publication, which belongs to a series of regional analytical studies, presents statistical data on signifi cant social and economic phenomena in the region. The current edition has been expanded and the thematic system corresponds to the challenges contained in National Strategy for Regional Development 2030. The basis of the publication is the analytical part, which is a characteristic of the processes taking place in Łódzkie Voivodship in 2019 and in previous years, based on the latest statistical data. The information contained in the study, provided with analytical commentary and graphic illustration in the form of maps and charts, present such areas as: the state and protection of the environment, human capital, quality of life, the economy (including, among others, GDP, production and services, economic situation) and public fi nances. In order to capture the changes taking place in the region, the issues have been presented in dynamic terms since 2010 and in relation to the average values for the country.
