The Statistical Office in Łódź presents the new edition of the publication "Statistics of Łódź", which for over twenty years, has been providing major statistical data characterizing the capital city of the region. The publication starts with summary tables including major statistical information describing the city across the years 2000–2023 and presenting Łódź on the background of the voivodship in 2023. The main part contains a wide collection of data characterizing various aspects of economic and social life of the city in years 2022 and 2023. Detailed tables have been preceded with methodological notes on sources and scope of presented data as well as definitions of terms used. A collection of graphs illustrating some features, phenomena and observed tendencies constitutes a supplement to the results presented in tables.

The Statistical Offi ce in Łódź is pleased to present you the twenty-fi fth edition of the Statistical Yearbook of the Łódzkie Voivodship. This publication contains the set of statistical information characterising the living standards of inhabitants and the economic potential of the voivodship. Detailed information have been grouped into 21 chapters, enriched with graphic illustrations in the form of charts and cartograms. Selected issues were also presented in the layout determined by the Delimitation of Rural Areas (DOW) allowing comparison of the results of public statistical surveys for rural areas and cities by their size. The study is supplemented by two review tables with the most important data on the Voivodship in 2000, 2010, 2015 and 2023 as well as selected information on the Voivodship against the background of the country in 2023. The statistical material has been completed with general notes with explanations of terminology, methodology and scope of information.
